High Energy Particle Physics

Our group is participates in two major particle physics experiments:


ATLAS is one of the four large detectors at the proton-proton collider LHC (Large Hadron Collider) at the Centre of European Particle Physics CERN (Conseil Européen pour la Recherche Nucléaire).






Belle is located at KEK in Japan. The experiment analyzes electron positron collisions with ulta-high luminosity provided by the KEK-B acclerator. A major upgrade of the experiment, Belle II, is currently underway.
